Peace Eagle not for sale
Called by some native Americans- the peace eagle. Vultures don’t kill, but eat mostly already dead animals. They are one of nature’s most important helpers. ‘Vultures have dirty, dirty faces -- and shockingly clean guts’. They can take toxic rotting carcass and turn it into a much cleaner fertilizer. In fact, when vulture numbers decline, rates of human diseases go up. I have chosen to represent the Turkey vulture as it is traditionally the more common in the Shenandoah Valley. The more aggressive Black Vultures often drive Turkey Vultures away from food.
